A very simple trick in notepad which will make your antivirus to treate that file as virus.
Follow given steps and you will get test virus for testing your antivirus.
paste this in ur notepad
Code:
X5O!P%@AP[4PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*X5O!P%@AP[4PZX54(P^)7CC)7}
Make sure there is no blank space left in the beginning or in between copied text.
Now save it and scan it by your antivirus software..

Dear Aashish,
It was fantastic to generate a virus. But the information provided above is I feel incomplete. How this small piece of code is useful as me being a Tester? Or anywhere else?
