Today while surfing I came across KDMC online portal.
www.kdmc.gov.in is the site of the official portal of Municipal Corporation of Kalyan-Dombivli developed by ABM KNOWLEDGEWARE LTD Prabhadevi.
Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), initiated it’s journey into e-Governance in 1999.
Objective of website is creating a system driven Municipal Corporation with highest levels of Transparency, Accountability and Citizen Servicing Standards.
When I started doing analysis of website towards its usefulness for general people I came across following facts.
1. Supports only Internet explorer. Not at all working in Firefox or chrome which are considered are as best browsers.
2. Website is not in Marathi language.
3. No Tax defaulter information available on defaulter page (http://www.kdmc.gov.in/kdmc/PropertyTenDefaulter.jsp)
4 . Very difficult navigation approach, every link keep opening in new window.
5. On home page Other information section links open in new window. All information provided in pdf formats and pdf files take too long time to open and many times timeout.(http://www.kdmc.gov.in/html/Other_Info/aptkalin_tel_list.pdf)
6. Using Birth Registration Search tried to search birth info ,but no information found.
7. Links under GIS section failed to open.
8. Extensive use of javascript may make website vulnerable and suseptible to attack.
KDMC hi-tech and computerised municipal corporation expected to give highly user-friendly and easy to use website for users.

Hi,
I gone through the website for 10 mins.
I found following observations.
1. There is no use of Up & Down arrow keys when we click other than ‘Home’ link.
2. The webpage gets expired on following:
a. Corporation | Corporation | Duties and Functions | Top Link
b. Corporation | Corporation | Existing Setup | Political Setup
c. Corporation | Standing Committee | Existing Setup | Political Setup
d. Corporation | Ward Committee | Existing Setup
e. Corporation | Transport Committee | Existing Setup | Click Here
3. ‘Close’ button is not working on Corporation | Commissioner | Appointment | For Commissioner details please click
4. 2 ‘Back’ link are available on Corporation | General Admin Dept | Employee Information & Recruitment Rules page.

Hi,
Thanks for Brijal’s comment… saved my time to type-in the same issues encountered by me. The site, which is assumed to one of the best in KDMC history is an utter disaster. The site is only compatible with IE and does not respond in Mozilla Firefox or any other such browsers (Mozilla Firefox being widely used in India). The look and feel is also very nausea tic. God must be knowing the amount of coffers emptied to develop such an idiotic site.

Rain water in the Kalyan Court precincts causes problem for lawyers, litigants and all due to lack of underground drainage facility over there. Many a time, even Advocates legs fall into rain water logged drains. The authorities concerned may please do the needful and solve the problem.
